Random Stuff

Well, first off let me say that I just had the greatest potato chips in the entire world. Loaded Baked Potato Pringles. Oooohhh my gosh, they are soooo good. My friend got them at Walmart, so I guess I'll be taking a trip tonight.

Chapel was really good today. It was a testimonial service. I was surprised by how many people got up and gave their testimony. I don't know that there's ever been that many. One of the student chaplains used a passage of Scripture from Psalms 118 that I want to post:

Psalm 118:1-4:
Thank GOD because he's good, because his love never quits.
2Tell the world, Israel,
"His love never quits."
3And you, clan of Aaron, tell the world,
"His love never quits."
4And you who fear GOD, join in,
"His love never quits."

Psalm 118:17-29:
17I didn't die. I lived!
And now I'm telling the world what GOD did.
18GOD tested me, he pushed me hard,
but he didn't hand me over to Death.
19Swing wide the city gates--the righteous gates!
I'll walk right through and thank GOD!
20This Temple Gate belongs to GOD,
so the victors can enter and praise.

21Thank you for responding to me;
you've truly become my salvation!

22The stone the masons discarded as flawed
is now the capstone!
23This is GOD's work.
We rub our eyes--we can hardly believe it!
24This is the very day GOD acted--
let's celebrate and be festive!
25Salvation now, GOD. Salvation now!
Oh yes, GOD-a free and full life!

26Blessed are you who enter in GOD's name--
from GOD's house we bless you!
27GOD is God,
he has bathed us in light.
Festoon the shrine with garlands,
hang colored banners above the altar!
28You're my God, and I thank you.
O my God, I lift high your praise.
29Thank GOD-he's so good.
His love never quits!

That was The Message translation. I don't generally read from this translation, but she used this version during chapel.

Workstudy is boring. I am the lab assistant for two separate (but the same) Intro to Computers classes. Sitting through the same exact thing twice in one day really gets old. But I shouldn't complain, because when I need to do work, I have the opportunity to get it finished.

THANK GOD--HE'S SO GOOD. HIS LOVE NEVER QUITS!

SO... the potato chips were good, huh? I'll have to remember this important detail!! : )

Chapel was good, and I too was shocked at the number of testimonies. I think what amazed me was that several of the testimonies did not really concern just spiritual emphasis; they seemed to subjects that were evident before this week, but were just impacted differently.

    Anyways, have a great day!
